Physicians

The physicians and staff of Ear Nose & Throat Specialists are committed to providing excellent and accessible health care to patients of the central coast. Our board certified physician specialists are able to provide you with the experience and knowledge necessary for the surgical or medical treatment of most conditions. Our relationships with Stanford University, The House Ear Clinic, UCLA, UCSF, and Loma Linda University are valuable for patients with rare or difficult to treat conditions.

Ear Nose & Throat Specialists was founded in 2007 by Drs. Stewart, Malotte, and Molin. Dr. Robert Stewart began his practice in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 1988. He was joined by Dr. Michael Malotte in 1995. Dr. Lisa Molin joined the practice in 2000. Together they form the only single specialty Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery practice on the central coast.

To become an Otolaryngologist certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, each applicant must complete four years of medical school. This is followed by five or six years of post graduate education including at least one year of general surgery and three years of Otolaryngology. Then applicant must satisfactorily pass a written and oral examination given by the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Our physicians continue to update their knowledge and experience by attending national conferences, reviewing journal articles, giving presentations to local physicians and health care professionals, as well as participating in educational programs given by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. They also access treatment guidelines from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and get health alerts from the Health Care Notification Network.
